About this Test Data Generator page
A test data generator creates realistic but fake records, such as users, orders and payment cards, so you can fill forms, seed databases and drive API tests without using real personal data. This free generator runs in your browser, has no row limit, and exports CSV, JSON or SQL INSERT statements you can load into a test database or a Playwright, Selenium or Cypress test.
Frequently asked questions
What is a test data generator?
A test data generator produces fake but realistic records like names, emails, addresses and orders. Testers use it to populate databases, fill forms and feed automated tests without exposing real customer data or writing records by hand.
How do I generate fake users as CSV or JSON?
Pick the user dataset, set how many rows you need, choose CSV or JSON, then copy or download the output. You can load the file in a test with fs.readFileSync in Playwright, Cypress fixtures, or a CSV reader in Selenium.
Can I generate SQL INSERT statements for test data?
Yes. Choose the SQL format and the generator outputs INSERT statements for the selected table. Run them against a local or staging database to seed users or orders before a test run. Never run them on production.
Are the fake credit card numbers safe to use?
The card numbers are fake and follow the Luhn check so format validation passes, but they are not real accounts and cannot be charged. For real payment flows use the test cards your payment provider documents, such as Stripe's 4242 card.
Is there a limit on how many rows I can generate?
No limit is enforced by the site and nothing is sent to a server. Generation happens in your browser, so very large sets are limited only by your device memory. No account or signup is required.
